Tips to Maximize OCR Accuracy

1. Lighting & Contrast

Avoid harsh shadows, camera glare, and uneven desk lighting. A flat, uniformly lit scan returns the highest character transcription rate.

2. Keep It Sharp

Ensure the document is fully in focus. Blurry camera shots or movement warp character edges, causing identification issues.

3. Scan Angle

Although our pipeline corrects minor rotations, scanning or photographing documents straight-on delivers the cleanest structural alignment.

4. Minimum Resolution

For fine print, use images with at least 150 DPI. We recommend 300 DPI or higher for complex technical files or spreadsheets.
